Bellissima località di Casco dell'acqua vicino a Foligno. Immersa nella natura e il canale che passa sotto lo stabile, perché anticamente era adibita a mulino e si possono ancora vedere la ruota e le pale che muovevano le antiche mole di pietra. La cucina è tipicamente umbra e di ottima qualità : antipasti rustici, lasagne fatte in casa, ortaggi dell'orto e tagliata di cinta cucinata nel grande camino che domina la sala principale. Eccellenza nella cortesia del personale che riesce a soddisfare ogni tipologia di richiesta.

Purtroppo mi devo rammaricare solo di una cosa, di aver scoperto solo oggi questo luogo incredibile. Più che il coperto si potrebbe pagare tranquillamente il biglietto per una visita guidata di questo antico mulino, sapientemente restaurato e arredato da Luca il proprietario. Se poi avete voglia di gustare una pinza, patate cotte sotto la cenere o meglio della carne, sapientemente preparata e cotta rigorosamente sulla brace davanti ad un enorme camino, mettetevi comodi e buon appetito!!

We walked here from a nearby country inn. It’s a beautiful setting. They open at 8. We shared an amazing pizza. It’s pizza to be shared as it’s large. The service staff was ehhhhh. Maybe they are just too busy? Oh well, it was a very good meal.

The food at Villa Iva is amazing. They grill the food in a wood burning fireplace. The cooks are constantly working preparing the food. The flavors are amazing, I don’t know which olive oil they use, but it adds so much flavor to all the dishes. Expect to wait as the food takes a little longer to prepare and it is busy. I highly recommend this restaurant.
